Aromathearapy

Aromatherapy oils are pure, natural, essential oils derived from petals, seeds, leaves, fruits, roots and barks.

With their therapeutic and healing properties they bring harmony within us and promote healing both at physical and mental levels.

If they are used in bath or for massage they are known to rejuvenate the individual by inducing deep relaxation and removing negative emotions.

As these oils are very concentrated they are usually diluted in carrier oils before they are used.

The common carrier oils used are usually of vegetable origin like Almond, Soya, and Avocado etc.

How to use Aromatherapy oils?

1.Bath:
Add 10 to 15 drop of Aromatherapy oil to bath.

2.Massage:
10 to 15 drop to a cup of carrier oil like Sesame, Jojoba, Coconut, Almond, Olive or any other vegetable oil.

3.Inhalation:
3 to 5 drops on a soft cloth or handkerchief or in a bowl of hot water.

4.Compress:
10 drop in 1 cup of warm water.

5.Diffuser:
10 drop in ceramic diffuser to ? cup of water.

6. Bedding:
3 to 6 drop at least 15 minutes before resting.

Aromatherapy oils can be used as individually or in combinations as a blend.

Some Aromatherapy essences:

1.Basil: (Ocymum Basilicum)
This is one of the very sacred plants of the India.
It opens the heart chakra and is mind relaxant.
It is very useful for the shy and fearful people.
It is cool in properties.

2.Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia)
This oil is very good for depression, anxiety and is known mood elevator.

3.Cedar (Cedrus Deodora)
This oil is calming, anti- depressive, mood elevator.
It is very useful for any stress related disorders as well breathing problems.

4.Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus)
Well-known antiseptic oil.
It is coolant in nature.
It helps in mind concentration.

5.Frankincense (Boswelia Thurifera)
Good for Meditation.
Warming.
Helps to calm down and mind clearing.

6.Geranium (Pelargonium Odoratissiumum)
It can blend practically in anything.
It helps one to be calm, relax and is a known mood elevator.

7.Lemon(Citrous Limonum)
Very good for concentration.
It is a great stimulator and refresher.

8.Lavender(Lavandula Officinalis)
Most versatile of all the oils.
It has a soothing effect and relaxes.
It is good day-to-day use oil.

9.Lemongrass(Cymbopogon Citratus)

Good mood elevator.
If used in bath helps to reduce muscular aches and pains.
It is very good for cough and colds.

10.Orange(Citrus Aurantium)
Very good for opening heart chakra.
Good for sadness, depression and nervousness.
It makes one fresh! Within out.

11.patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
Very popular uplifting, rejuvenating oil.
It is very useful for skin problems as well infections.

12.peppermint(Mentha Piperita)
Coolant, stimulating and revitalizing.
It is helpful for concentration and memory.

13.rosemary(Rosmarinus Officinalis)
A great stimulant of the mind.
Helps concentration and clarity of the mind.

14.Sandalwood(santalum album)
Most precious and coolant oil. Soothing, boosts up confidence.
Promotes inner sense of well-being.
Excellent for relaxing.

15.Tea tree(Melaleuco Alternifolia)
Cooling and good antiseptic.

16.Vetivert(vetiveria Zizanoides)
Deep relaxing.
Very good for bath.
Good for nervous system.

17.ylang Ylang (Canaga odorata)
Soothing balancing and warm oil.
Helps reduce stress and depression.
